Everything you can do as a seller
This is the full list, in plain words. Open any line to see what it does and why it helps. The first list is what works today, the second is built or nearly built, and the third is planned.
A small tag shows where Free and Pro differ. Lines with no tag are the same on both plans. See seller plans

Set up your store
Open your store in a few minutes
Make an account, tell us your store name, and connect Stripe so you can be paid. A short checklist on your dashboard walks you through the rest, step by step. You can look at your store and your listings as a buyer would before anything goes public.
Make your store page look like yours
Add a banner, a logo and an About section, and sort your listings into your own sections. You can also pin a few listings as your featured ones. Buyers get a clean page they can follow, browse and share.
Add your own license terms
Write a short signature and set of license terms that appear on every listing, under the site's own license. Buyers see clearly what they may and may not do with your work.
Invite a helper to run things with you
Add a helper, such as an assistant, to upload resources, post updates and answer questions for your store. You can remove a helper at any time.
Pause your store or keep it as a private library
Step away without losing anything. A paused store hides its listings, and Private Library mode keeps your files for you alone while buyers keep what they already bought.
List your resources
Import your TpT store with one link
Paste your TpT store link, prove it is yours with a short one-time code, and we create drafts of your listings from the public pages. You can also upload a spreadsheet instead. Nothing goes live until you add your files and publish.
Upload a resource
Add your file, a cover, preview pictures, a price, grade levels, subject and a description. Save it as a draft, check it, then publish when you are ready. You can edit a listing later and buyers are told when you add a new version.
Upload many resources at once
Drop in a batch of files, match them to listings, and edit prices and details in a table. It saves a lot of clicking when you are adding a whole unit or an entire catalog.
Add video and a preview clip
Sell MP4 video files, and we can convert other common video formats to MP4 for you at no charge. You can also add a short preview video, with captions, to a listing page.
Deliver Google Slides, Sheets and Docs
Attach a Google link to a listing. Buyers get a Make a copy button in My purchases, so they get their own editable copy.
Make bundles
Group your resources into a bundle at a lower price. If a buyer already owns some of the parts, the bundle price adjusts so they only pay for what they are missing.
Tag your resources with standards
Pick standards from a searchable list, including the full Common Core, and add tags and keywords. Buyers can filter by standard, so your listing shows up when they look for exactly that skill.
Sell extra licenses
Offer colleague or team pricing on a listing. A buyer can add licenses at checkout, and you set the price.
Get found
Show up in search and filters
Buyers can search by words, and filter by grade, subject, standard, resource type, file format, price and rating. Your listings are searched along with every other seller's, with no extra setup on your part.
Appear on grade, subject and season pages
Browse pages for each grade, subject, season and standard list matching resources, and search engines can read them. A well labeled listing lands on the right pages on its own.
Get featured on the home page
Each day the home page features one resource. You can see when yours was featured, right on your dashboard.
Show your shop on your own site
Copy a small widget into your blog or website that shows your newest resources and links back to your store. On Pro it carries your referral link.
Write a guest post for our blog
Write a helpful article with our visual editor and link to your own resource inside it. Our team reviews posts before they are published, and posts need to help readers rather than sell.
Sell more
Run sales and coupon codes
Put a listing on sale, or create a coupon code with start and end dates. A calendar shows your sales at a glance so you can plan ahead.
Join site-wide sale events
When we run a sale event, you can opt your resources in with one click. Buyers find the whole event on one page, which can bring in shoppers who were not looking for you yet.
Earn more with your own referral linksPro
Every Pro listing has a referral link. When a buyer arrives through it and buys within 7 days, you keep 90% of each of your products they buy, compared with 80% for Pro sales we bring in and 50% on Free. Free stores do not have referral links.
Build a following
Buyers can follow your store. Followers see your updates in their feed, get alerts when you add something new, and you can send them a note, even scheduled ahead of time.
Post short updates with photos
Share what you are working on in a feed that your followers see. Followers can react and comment, and you can choose whether only you post or buyers can post on your page too.
Answer reviews and questions
Only verified buyers can leave reviews. You can reply to reviews and answer questions on a listing, and the answers stay on the page for the next buyer.
Reach schools that buy on purchase orders
Schools can ask for a quote and pay by purchase order. Your resources can be part of those orders, with the paperwork handled for you.
See what is working
Your dashboard shows sales, views, top search terms, where visitors came from and how many bought. You can export the numbers as a spreadsheet.
Connect your own toolsPro
Pro sellers can use the Seller API to read their listings, sales and stats, and get a notification when a sale happens. It is meant for sellers who like to build their own spreadsheets and automations.
Get paid
See exactly what you keep
Free sellers keep 50% of each sale, Pro sellers keep 80%, and Pro referral sales pay 90%. Stripe's card fee comes out of your share, and the percentage is figured on the price after discounts and before sales tax.
Get paid straight to your bank
Payouts run monthly on the 15th through Stripe. Each sale is held 14 days first, and a payout needs at least $10. Smaller amounts simply roll over to the next month.
Choose Free or Pro
Free costs nothing to join and has a listing charge of 5 cents per listing per month, which your sales cover first. Pro is $50 a year with no listing charge, a bigger share of every sale, referral links and the Seller API.
Download statements and payout history
See each sale, each payout and each month on one page. Download monthly statements as PDF and your sales and payouts as spreadsheets for your records.
Handle refund requests in one place
Refund requests show up in your dashboard, where you can approve or decline them. If a refund goes ahead, it comes out of your balance and our share of that sale is returned too.
Stripe handles your tax forms
Stripe verifies your identity, collects your tax details and sends your income form. We work out and collect sales tax from buyers where the law requires it, so you do not have to.
Protect your work
Private files and expiring download links
Your files are stored privately. Buyers download through personal links tied to their purchase, and they can always sign in to My purchases to download again.
Put the buyer's name on PDFs
PDFs can be stamped with the buyer's name in the bottom margin, where there is room. It discourages people from passing your file around. It is on by default and you can switch it off for a listing.
Uploads are scanned
Every file is checked for viruses before buyers can download it, and duplicate files are flagged, which keeps your store and your buyers safer.
Two-step sign-in for your account
Seller accounts can be protected with an authenticator app and backup codes, and you are told by email when someone signs in from a new device.
A clear process for copyright complaints
Anyone can report a copyright problem through a form, and our DMCA agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office. Sellers get a counter-notice process if a listing is removed.
Your work stays yours
You keep every right to what you make, you can sell it anywhere else, and you can export your store at any time. If The Lesson Stand ever closed, you would get six months notice and time to take everything with you.
Get help
A Help center written for sellers
Plain-language articles for each step of selling, from uploading to payouts. Search them, or open the Help panel from any page and ask a question to get an answer drawn from those articles.
Message our team
If the Help center does not answer your question, send us a message from the Help panel or the Contact page and a person will reply.
Talk with other sellers
A forum just for sellers, where you can ask questions, share ideas and learn how others run their stores.
Notices before anything changes
When a policy or fee rule changes, a notice appears on your dashboard. We do not make quiet rule changes.
Next up
Built or nearly built. Each one is waiting on an outside account or a last piece of work before it goes live.
Print your designs on posters, stickers, shirts and mugs
Upload a design, pick the items, and set your price above the print cost. Each order is printed and shipped for you, so there is no inventory. We keep 10% of the sale price on Pro and 20% on Free, and the print cost and shipping come out of the rest. It is built and waiting on the print partner account.
Automatic Pinterest pins for new listings
When you publish a listing, a pin goes out for it. On Pro the pin carries your referral link; on Free it links straight to your product. It is built and waiting on our Pinterest connection.
Buyers can save to Google Drive and assign in Google Classroom
Buyers will be able to send a file to their own Drive or hand it out through Google Classroom. It is built and waiting on the Google connection.
Send a design from Canva into a new listing
For now you can paste a Canva link into a listing. The full connection, where a design lands as a draft ready to finish, is still to come.
In the pipeline
Planned for later. The ideas people ask for most move up. Suggest or vote on a feature
Give a resource as a gift
A buyer will be able to buy a resource for someone else and send it to them. Gift cards already work today.
Growing bundles
A bundle whose price rises as items are added, so early buyers get the best price and sellers can keep a bundle growing.
Badges and levels for sellers
Recognition for sellers as their stores grow, shown on their store page.
Bring your products over from other platforms
Moving to The Lesson Stand should not mean starting from scratch. After the TpT import, we want to support other places sellers sell today.
OneDrive and Microsoft Teams delivery
For schools that run on Microsoft, delivery to OneDrive and Teams next to the Google tools.
Zapier connections
Hook your store up to the other tools you already use, without writing code.
Your own Google Analytics and Meta pixel
For sellers who like digging into numbers, add your own tracking to your store pages.
Tax forms to download from your dashboard
Your yearly forms in the same place as your statements.
A sister site for kids ministry resources
The groundwork is built. It will open when the time is right.
And how buyers find you
