Privacy policy

What we collect

Your email address, the name you show on the site, what you buy and sell, and basic records of sign-ins (the browser and the date) so we can warn you about sign-ins from new devices.

What we do not collect

Card numbers and bank details go straight to Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store them.

How we use it

To run your account, deliver what you buy, pay sellers, keep the site safe, and send the emails you asked for.

We do not sell anyone's personal information. Sellers never receive buyers' email addresses: when a seller writes to followers, our site sends the email for them, and every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe.

When you download a PDF you bought, its pages are stamped with your name, your email address and the order number, in the margin where there is room, so the seller's work stays with the people who paid for it. Sellers can turn the stamp off for a product.

Who else handles it

Stripe (payments and seller payouts), our email provider (account and order emails), and our file storage provider (product files). Each handles only what it needs.

How long we keep it

Retention periods for each kind of record will be listed here before launch.

Your choices

You can download a copy of everything we hold about you, or delete your account, yourself at any time from Privacy and data in your account. Deleting erases your personal details; reviews stay under the name Former member and money records are kept with your name removed. Sellers and staff contact us first so payouts can be settled.

You can also hide any seller privately; they are never told.
