What the TpT import brings over
On the Bring your store over page you upload what TpT gives you. Everything arrives as a draft, and nothing is published until you publish it.
The honest part
TpT's Product Insights export has names only, plus sales numbers. It has no files, covers, descriptions or grades. So from that spreadsheet alone we can create one draft per product with its title. We ignore the sales numbers and never store them, so you do not need to delete them first.
How to get more across
- Upload a spreadsheet of your own instead. The easiest start is the template on the import page: it has the columns we read (Name, Price, Grades, Format, Resource Type, Subject, Tags, Pages, Summary, Description, Standards, Custom Category and Product ID) and one example row. Name is the only column you must fill in.
- Any other spreadsheet works too. After you upload it, a Match your columns step lists every column in your file with a few example values and a menu of our fields, already set to our best guess. Change any menu, or choose Do not import, then click Import. Nothing is made before that, and your file is removed afterward.
- Sales columns (earnings, views, units sold and the like) are always left out and never saved. When the import finishes, the page tells you which columns were used and which were left out.
- Anything left empty you can add on each listing's edit page.
What you do next
TpT does not give us your product files, so you add each file yourself. Bulk upload makes that quick. Importing again skips anything you already have. We never touch your TpT account.
