Students see bright pictures as they learn about animals and how their structures help them survive in the world. An interactive quiz gives immediate feedback on answers. A group activity asks them to apply what they have learned and analyze other animals. In the last activity, students use technology to create a presentation about an animal they make up, with structures that would help it survive, and then evaluate the animals created by other groups.

The lesson works through the six levels of Bloom's taxonomy. Because of the nature of the last two activities, student answers will vary and there is no answer key for that section. The embedded quiz gives immediate feedback.
