Michelle Writes... and Codes

I'm Michelle, a teacher who writes and codes, and this store is where those two loves meet. I spent seven years teaching in schools on the Eastern Cherokee Reservation in North Carolina, then eleven years teaching on the Navajo Nation, along with more years in state public schools. I've taught in buildings with every new gadget and in buildings where we shared one cart of laptops between grades. Those years taught me that a good lesson has to work on a Tuesday afternoon with whatever you have in front of you. That is why so many of my resources are unplugged or run in a plain web browser. Today I teach college computer science, and I still design everything here with K-5 teachers in mind. Every resource is complete, with directions anyone could pick up and teach, pages that print cleanly on a school copier, answer keys, and slides you can project.
